For instance, a 4" thick piece of foam needing 33 lbs to compress it by 1" and then spring back to 4" has a compression rating of 33 lbs or ILD (indention load deflection).

Foam sheets are sold per sheet, not per yard. To open, avoid using a box cutter and instead opt for a ballpoint pen or pencil to make a small incision. This ensures durability, with a lifespan of 7 to 10 years. Made of 100% polyurethane, the foam has a 100% recovery rate and is fire retardant.
